NOTES: Just want to let those who are using ClickTracks or similar web log analytic tool know that web server log will record everything, every visits including those spider-like visits. My IT Dept has "secretly" had a pen (or penetration) security test on my company website. The results: abnormally high traffic number. I later found out about this and had to do all kind of stuff including filtering out IPs of the security testing company... to normalize the numbers. If you're using page-tagging method/tool like Google Analytics, you wouldn't be affected as spider-like visits wouldn't trigger the javascript beacon, thus your statistics would remain normal.
